Backpacking in the Uintahs

adventure date: May 24-26, 2014

The day after Michael graduated it was the rare occasion that we had nothing planned! We decided that afternoon to pack up and go on a backpacking trip to some beautiful hot springs in the Uintahs.

We had a blast hiking, soaking, & sleeping in our hammocks! I love living in Utah, it's such a beautiful state with so much variety.
((Great last minute ideas for backpacking food: Easy Mac, Quakers Real Mealodies Oatmeal, Tuna ToGo Lunch packs, dehydrated fruit, beef jerky. Jetboil & spoon/fork.))

Hammock Time. If you've slept in a hammock and didn't like
it, you were probably doing it wrong. Best trick is to put your sleeping pad in the bottom on your hammock. This will help keep your bum and backside warm, and helps keeps you flat which avoids you getting sore knees.

Get outside and explore!
